Hawaii Meats Environmental Study

Hawaii Meats operates the slaughterhouse and meat processing facilities in Oahu and Hawaii. Both facilities produce a liquid and solid waste stream that is treated before being disposed of via a leach field and landfill. H2O was tasked with researching the best methods of disposal for both their solid and liquid waste streams.  Findings from this research were compiled into an analysis report which will include the general description of each method and how they all compare to each other. H2O’s connection with the engineering community allows us to provide an in-depth understanding of the solid waste stream specifically for slaughterhouse waste. Our team conducted on-site visits and testing along with extensive research in order to provide Hawaii Meats with the most complete information possible. Therefore, Hawaii Meats will now be able to make an educated decision through understanding what system works best for their operations and budget.
