Kahului Scalping Project (In Progress)

In accordance with our state's push for sustainability and conservation, this pilot project was put together to determine the feasibility of scalping wastewater for reuse. We worked alongside our contracting and engineering partners to design and implement a small yet cost-effective treatment system to fit the needs of this project. We also provided all turn-key systems, processing equipment, controls, and instruments in order to bring it to fruition. When all said and done this project will allow the airport to scalp a substantial portion of wastewater that was previously being treated and discharged into the ocean from its facility on-site and reuse the treated effluent for large irrigation plots. This will help the environment and the airport not only by recycling water but also by supplementing the supply of drinking water as well.
